How would i go about adjusting the clutch in my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport five speed standard shift?

I just bought a new-used 1999 Jeep Cherokee sport standard shift… its five speed. I need to adjust the clutch cause its a little bit tough to shift how would i do this?

I believe it is hydrolic clutch, there is no adjustment. You may want to bleed the clutch just as you would onto brake system.

There is no clutch adjustment.Check the reservoir for fluid if there is no fluid you probably have a leak after refilling you will need to bleed the air out.
If you have fluid then it could be
1. Clutch master cylinder
2. Hydraulic slave cylinder
3.clutch
4.pressure plate
Items 2,3,4 are all replaced at the same time.I recommend if you replace the hydraulic slave cylinder you should spend the xtra money for the better one the cheap one usually comes in the kit
