Go to a spring over axle conversion itll get you a little more lift and it’s better for off road you will also be? able to fit bigger tires.

About 13 miles per? gallon so I’ve only lost about 2 miles per gallon after adding the mods.

I had the same model, the same colour but from ‘95 :) I’ve made 2.5″ lift @ BFG AT 31×10.5r15 :)
but to be honest – chrome grill does not look good with this? colour.. I would make original one

that sir is an old wives tale I have yet to see a dana35 blow on trails or video from running 33s I have seen a few blow from an over used skinny peddle while hopping.
If you are planning are doing medium to? extreme 4×4ing then yes do an axle swap but there are better axles out there then an 8.8 not saying there bad there’s just better ones out there for the work involved.if your only doing moderate then your d35 will work fine for you as long as you take care of it just like anything else.

not really but I did have to drop the transfer case because when I lifted it? the angle was too extreme so I couldnt switch into second, fourth, or reverse.

Did you have to make any mods to the driveshaft after adding? the lift?

they are? called bumperettes and they serve there purpose very well, plus a full length bumper adds alot of weight and the whole point to haveing a jeep is to be light and short wheel based

Put the full? length bumper on the back. Those spring crap things look terrible and aren’t safe

That’s a good start. Your next mod should be a Slip Yoke eliminator and CV driveshaft. That’ll help you get rid of that Transfer case drop and get rid of any drivetrain vibrations. It’ll also insure that your driveshaft doesnt slip out. Also, be? careful with those 33’s on the Dana 35. This rear axle is known to brake/bend with bigger tires. If you really wanna get involved in building up your jeep, look into an axle swap. Ford Explorer 8.8 is a great match… After that… sky’s the limit..lol

from a fellow yj owner.
Put a 1 inch body lift on it(I know bl suck but you need if for the next)
1 inch motor mount lift, and a flat belly skid. You will gain i believe it is 5 inches of clearance
With the 1 inch bl you can also fit 35’s? with a tiny bit of rubbing. Trimming those flares or putting on yj ones will solve that issue.
