How to fix 93 Wrangler YJ front end and steering problem?
93 jeep yj Front end wanders/steering has play/9″ lift/39.5″ superswamper tires, 2 Skyjacker steering dampers. When driving around 40-45 mph front end wanders & steering is a little difficult & feels a little loose, power steering works easy when turning corners, i also feel a shimmy the faster i go

in the trade this is referred to as “death wobble” allot of problems can cause this or a combination there of.tires, steering dampener, ball joints, tie rods, track link, shocks all play a role.oh also check the sway bar.good luck

Check your ball joints.I have a 7″lift had some womble installed a high steer it help.I heard that the reverse shackle set up will help to.Have the tires checked for balance they can install the weights to the inside of the tires instead of the outside they will stay on a little longer.Have you check the angle of the drive shaft?

are you running the stock frontend? the dana 30 axle isn’t desinged to handle 39.5’s! it is a very weak axle. if your running 35’s or lager time to upgrade to at least a dana 44. you’ll just keep destroy’n frontends at this rate, the 35 in the back isn’t much better.
